About

My name is Monte McNair and I am a huge sports fan with a love for statistics. As a former wide receiver, I’ve had some of my greatest moments outside the hashes. Now that my playing days are over, I’m looking to analyze sports from a statistical perspective.

Originally from the Los Angeles area, I was an All-State (small schools) WR at Oak Park High School before attending and playing football at Princeton University. My career there was less illustrious, with a career stat line of 4 receptions, 109 yards, and 1 touchdown. My keen statistical eye assesses that that is not very good.

My favorite NFL team is the Indianapolis Colts, as I was originally drawn to them during the Captain Comeback era of Jim Harbaugh and have continued to be a fan during the great Peyton Manning era. While I’ll focus mostly on football, I will also at times discuss college basketball (Princeton and Stanford are my teams there) and baseball (go Dodgers).

You can contact me at monte.mcnair@outsidethehashes.com. I try to read and respond to all emails, however, most times the comments feature will be a better forum for discussion, especially with comments pertaining to the post itself.

Welcome to Outside the Hashes.
